The Spring Festival just around the corner, and just like every year, HQIS prepared a unique Chinese New Year celebration for the students, a vibrant and culturally rich event that brings together students, staff, and the community to commemorate the auspicious occasion and feel the unique charm of the Chinese New Year. Here are the standout moments of this fabulous event!

It’s been an incredible morning for our school, filled with the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. The stage performances in our gym, were simply astounding. Our students, dressed in beautiful traditional clothes, mesmerized the crowd with beautiful songs and dances, including the popular “Kemu San” dance. The drumming performance and the signature dragon dance added excitement and a more traditional flavor to the event.

At the end of the dragon dance, our leadership and the President of POH went on stage to put a “mark” on the face of the dragon, an auspicious symbol of fortune and prosperity. This simple ritual not only showed the care and support of the school leaders and the parents, it also symbolized the spirit of unity and cooperation within the HQIS members, and the good wishes of our community for the upcoming future.

Along with the performances, the booth activities available for students provided an interactive and engaging experience during the celebration. These activities are not only fun and entertaining, they also allow our students to appreciate the beauty of Chinese traditional culture and foster a sense of unity and friendship.
