EOY Performances 2025
- Jun 16-2025

May 6th is a day of joy and excitement for the HQIS Community. We are so thrilled to be one of the first schools to receive authorization to reopen its doors!
We remain grateful to our entire community for your unwavering support and feedback during this period.
We hope Early Childhood can return to school very soon.
After constant discussion and preparation, we are now ready to enter a new phase in our online support program. We will be getting in touch more often to keep you updated, and we hope that the upcoming changes will affect children’s schooling experience positively.
We are delighted to inform you that, as part of the parental guidance and support, we will be offering additional group Zoom sessions next week. These sessions aim to allow the children the opportunity to see and chat with their teachers and friends via Zoom. Of course, this initiative is separate from the summer make-up plan that HQIS provided before.
To ensure the quality of the program, we have selected a group of foreign teachers who have relevant knowledge and skills. Therefore you may not see the same English-speaking teacher for your class. Activities are aimed to help with child care whilst at home by engaging the children in indoor sports, musical activities and developing abilities in planning, perseverance, concentration and problem-solving. There will also be recommendations for reading activities, stories and other resources for the children. We hope that your child enjoys these activities.
Classes will be running a Shanghai timetable. The timetables are designed to increase the connectivity between the children and their teachers, and to include aspects from a school day routine with online adaptations and continued flexibility for individual families. The timetables will be sent to you shortly by the class Mandarin teachers, and the Zoom links are sent via e-mail and WeChat on Monday morning. All activities in our support program will be shared with you before Monday and are optional.
