Important Notice:Stay Safe Against Coronavirus
Dear HQIS community,
In accordance with government requests and in discussion with other international schools around Shanghai, HQIS will delay the start of classes to Monday, February 17, 2020.
In response to government health guidelines and recommendations, we are encouraging a 14-day travel quarantine for the health and safety of the entire HQIS community. Therefore, we recommend you return to Shanghai as previously planned no later than February 3. If you find that your student or family member has reached a temperature of 37.3 ℃ during quarantine period, please communicate with us by email (admission@hqis.org) and take appropriate medical measures immediately.
In order to keep up with the learning, students will get online study support from February 4 to February 14. The school leadership is working on plans so students will continue to learn and grow at home.
HQIS leadership is constantly monitoring the development of the coronavirus outbreak. We are in regular communication with government officials and other international schools. Our leadership is working diligently to plan for the health and safety of our community. We have arranged sufficient purchase of sanitation and disinfection products and have ensured that the campus will be thoroughly disinfected before school resumes. The school has prepared a comprehensive protocol including temperature check on all personnel while entering school when the school resumes. And we will continue to communicate critical updates and information to our parent community.
We recommend that you conduct regular temperature checks, wash your hands more frequently, and follow increased health and safety standards, including wearing health masks.
Please stay safe and take care.
